The Maple Street Project: Home
Welcome to The Maple Street Project home page. If you're looking for young turks playing speed metal, this web site will be the death of you. But, if you like original compositions in the folk/rock tradition, c'mon in, kick your shoes off, and scope things out. Beer is in the fridge... But you have to be 21 to pop one open (we may be musicians but - hey - we're all responsible parents. Well... sort of. Arguably lying in the road in lounge chairs playing music isn't exactly model behavior!).
For the latest about all things MSP, please click on the Maple Street News link to the left.
The Maple Street Project, based in the Boston suburb of Needham, has evolved into a creative acoustic rock band featuring original compositions. In live performances we unabashedly play our own songs - sometimes tossing in a cover to prove that ours are better! Depending on the cover, they usually are.
Over the years we have performed at some of Boston's more prestigious venues like The Middle East (Upstairs and Downstairs), The Paradise Rock Club, the old House of Blues, Club Passim and Kirkland Cafe. But we'll also gig at smaller, more intimate places like The Cantab, house parties and fund raising events. MSP has been featured in Indie Islands e-magazine and on several international web radio programs.
Some people tell us our sound is reminiscent of the Grateful Dead and at times, Crosby, Stills and Nash. Tight, robust harmonies are considered by many as the MSP hallmark.
Our latest CD is called "Kick Back On Maple Street" and here we are - kickin' back! If you're new to the site - please sign the Guestbook or drop us an e-mail.
